Matoaka Little Eagle of the Tewa, Apache (New Mexico), and Chickahominy Tribes (Virginia) has been a culture bearer since childhood. Through residencies, classes, workshops, and performances, she opens minds and enlightens audiences of all ages through truth in history, songs, dances, and stories.  She uses humor, warmth, and compassion to create a welcoming and safe environment to learn about the diversity of Native cultures; our relationships to the elements and each other; and the celebration of Life as she nurtures respect and dispels stereotypes.  Her many affiliations and performances include:  Pete Seeger, David Amram, John Cage, Louis Mofsie - The Thunderbird American Indian Dancers, Pura Fe/Ulali, SpiderWoman Theater, Julia Howl Haines, Bob Goldberg; Lincoln Center, National Museum of the American Indian; American Museum of Natural History; Brooklyn Academy of Music, Juilliard, Symphony Space; World of Music and Dance (Toronto), Clearwater Festival, Lynn Taylor Corbett - Distant Thunder, the Musical; Elizabeth Clark - The Earth Opera; The Vanaver Caravan.  

Julian Haines, contemporary harper, independent composer, multi-instrumentalist, is recognized for her unique approach to the lever harp. Named a “harper among harpists” and a‘hip harper” by the Irish press, she was awarded First Prize for harp and voice at the O’Carolan Festival,Keadue, Ireland. With diverse musical practice rooted in classical, improvisation, experimental and world music, she creates songs of grace and power, inspiring a love for sound, silence, listening,  & contemplation. She has recorded with: Pauline Oliveros, The Roots, Tommy Hayes, Sylvain Leroux, Susan Werner, Laura Simms, Robert Esformes, and Ubaka Hill.

Accessibility: Handicapped parking is available in front of entrance. Ramp leading to entrance. Main hall is on the ground floor. Bathrooms are handicapped accessible. Entrance doors are not automatic. Please call 845-255-2512 if assistance is needed.
