TOUR: 93 Main Street, Solomon Eltinge Homestead Stone House

  • Elting Memorial Library 93 Main Street New Paltz, NY, 12561 United States (map)

Join us for a tour of 93 Main Street and learn about when it was a local home and then became New Paltz's library. Take a peek into the history of the old stone building. You will be able to enter the front door of the house and tour the building with docent guides along the way. Rooms upstairs and the basement will be open to the public for this special tour.

The walking tour titled: “Main Street Buildings & Community Life Over Time,” with Professor Bill Rhoads will end at 93 Main Street if you would like to attend both tours, learn more by clicking here: https://www.revolutionary-newpaltz.org/calendar/professor-bill-rhoads-a-walking-tour-of-main-street-buildings-community-life-over-time.

Admissions: Free, please register in advance.

Accessibility: The old stone building front porch entry consists of several steps up and the house has narrow stairwells, no lift between the levels, and uneven floors so only the first floor tour is accessible if you enter via the courtyard gate.

Parking: The library parking lot is located on the corner of North Front Street and Church Street. Library visitors are welcome to park for free in our lot for as long as they are at the library.
